Mustangs News · 3 Athletes Sign Letters of Intent


On Thursday May 9, 2019, Strongsville High School and the Mustangs Athletic Department recognized 3 High School Athletes who were fortunate to sign letters of intent to play college sports.  The signing included former and future coaches, parents, classmates and teammates.

 

Richie Roskoph will be attending Baldwin Wallace University where he will play Lacrosse.  Richie is a multi sport student athlete at SHS and was named 2018 Defensive MVP for the Lacrosse team.  Richie was an All-Ohio Honorable Mention selection in 2018 and looks to repeat that feat this year.  Richie’s favorite memory about playing sports at SHS is hosting Lacrosse’s first ever playoff game on May 14th.  Congratulations Richie!

Jalen Garner will be attending Wright State University- Lake Campus where he will playing Basketball.  Jalen received Greater Cleveland Conference honors this past season and also was a multi sport student athlete.  Jalen would like to thank his family for their support through everything and wanted to especially thank Coach Jancar for always being a role model for him.

 

Kevin Lawler will be furthering his education and athletic career at John Carroll University.  Kevin was a standout athlete on the football field as well as the basketball court.  Kevin was a leader on both teams and earned All GCC honors this past season in Football.  Kevin’s favorite memory of SHS was the entire Euclid game back in 2018.  Congratulations Kevin!
